SURGERY SUCCESS!

Had surgery yesterday for cataract on the right eye.

Bandages off today.. UNBELIEVABLE!! I CAN

SEE!! Was really bad, couldn't even see the E at the

top of the chart.. gee, I can read almost to the bottom!!

Had to pop the right lens out of my glasses.. can use them

a " bit " with the left eye.. but that eye is bad, too, so mostly

I'm closing that eye and using the right one. Went to the

drug store and got a pair of " reading glasses " so I can

see the computer with my right eye, as the eye doctor

suggested.. Interesting to walk around.. absolutely NO

depth perception!

Well, my birthday is in three weeks.. April 5.. doctor said

if all goes well, we may be able to have the left one done

so I can use BOTH eyes then!!

I really want to thank all of you who wrote me, giving

me the courage to have the surgery done.. Made it

withOUT versed.. not sure I will do the second one

that way, though. About two minutes before the

surgery was done, my blood pressure shot up and

I could feel the " sort of restlessness " that comes

before the panic.. Anesthesia asked why I didn't

" say something " .. Simple.. told me not to talk

during surgery, since moving mouth, moves eye..

Oh well, made it.. with flying colors. could feel

the Lord's and your caring.

Very tired.. surgery, no matter how minor, just wipes

the heck out of me.. Guess, the prednisone dependency

has a lot to do with it, plus we are scheduled for 3 days

of " possible showers " . NAP TIME...
