Dear

Give Jeanette a big hug from me! I'm sorry she has to struggle with this

but I am glad things are going well enough. We'll be anxious to hear of her

progress!

Thanks for letting us know.

With warm thoughts,

Amy

Gil, did your doctor talk about thrush, or is this something different? I've had thrush, and now I keep feeling as if I'm on the borderline of getting it again, week after week. My tongue is sore and red, but not nearly as severely as when I was treated for thrush (twice, once in the esophagus.)

If I say " go to your room " he will go half-way

there, then stop and walk backwards back into the living room. Or

" feet on the carpet " [this is how I tell him to stay out of the

kitchen] he will hang his toes over the edge of the tile, then a

little more of his feet, etc. This was really cute at first, but now

Oh my gosh Dana, you just described my son!

Hi Suzanne,

Invite them all. You know only about 1/2 will actually show up, even if

they do RSVP... but if that is still too many, invite (beg) your friends or

family to come and help out. They always have a blast too... (they just

wont always admit it till after!) I think it would be better to have one

afternoon of chaos than to risk hurting another childs feelings that may

want to be friends with . Keep it simple if you can. If you are not

that comfortable having that many 5-6 year olds in your home, check the

parks close to you and see if you can rent one of the cabanas.. preferably

close to the playground and have it there. Spilled juice doesn't stain the

grass much. And they can run around as hard as they want and hopefully burn

off some of the birthday cake sugar. :-) Or if you don't mind the

expense... can go to Chuckee Cheese or one of those kids Pizza places around

you. Those are popular around here.

GOOD LUCK!!!!

Subject: Birthday Parties

Hello,

My name is Suzanne and I am new to this group. Admittedly, I have

been eavesdropping for the last three weeks without introduction. I

have three daughters Kate, , and (12, 8, and 5DS).

On the topic of birthday parties, has rarely been included in

birthday parties for typical peers. I would love to see that

change. Since 's birthday is in just a few weeks, I thought I'd

look for suggestions. It is hard to complain that is not

included in birthday parties if I don't throw on myself and include

everyone.

My big problem is that I have been to many 5 and 6 year old parties

where the whole class is invited and I feel that I can check that box

off (I have no personal need to experience THAT again). I far prefer

smaller parties. Since is in a new kindergarten class in a

brand new school, she hasn't formed any real friendships.

I feel torn between including the whole class to open the door for

's future invitations, and keeping it small to make it more

comfortable for me.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Suzanne

BTW, whaer is the spel chec funktion on Groops? :-)
