Guest guest
I'm not sure if I like the idea of a radiologist performing a surgical procedure on my uterus or any other part of my body. But it still doesn't make me happy to know that there is an easier procedure out there and it isn't being used. I bet if there was an easier way for a vasectomy or a hernia repair, they would be the first in line to offer it. So unfair. Guest guest
Just to let you know...The procedure isn't even a surgery. It is done with a catheter through a very small (less than a 1/4 inch) opening in the skin. It would be done in a catheter lab and the patient most likely goes home the same day. The procedures are most often performed by an " Interventional Radiologist " . I agree, women probably aren't being told about the procedure because the Surgical Gynocologists will loose their surgery income! Re: [ ] Shhhhh! Guest guest
It's no wonder some doctors don't like us getting so much education on the Internet. We're now better able to find out about all alternatives available to us. Shame on the doctors that put their surgery income before the safety of their patients. a Re: [ ] Shhhhh! Guest guest
a, this makes me so angry! It's sickening that so many unnecessary hysterectomies are performed. I agree, SHAME is the word.
