Guest guest
I'm going to take a moment to explain my current problem. As you know-came home on Sunday from hip replacement-still hurt a lot but will get better. I had Cold sores? on my lips which have gotten worse-bleeding sores. Also have other sores all over my body- big, oozy, infected sores. My visiting nurse thinks herpes-shingles. From my internet research doesn't look like it because they are scattered. I have a dermatologist appointment at 6:20 pm. I feel really sick along with the pain. Haven't had any arthritis meds in almost 3 weeks and am swelling and sore-except in my new joints. I am walking so much straighter now eventhough I need to use a walker. Guest guest
Welcome home, ! I'm happy that your new joints feel good, but the sores sound just awful. I hope the dermatologist can identify the problem and help you recover quickly. Sorry! Let us know what the doctor says. Guest guest
a, Never do anything the easy way when there is a hard way. The sores are called s- Syndrome. Kindof an allergic reaction to a medication around the surgery. Will take a few weeks to go away and if I have another surgery it will be worse. Also will leave skin pigmentation off color. Thank goodness, none on my face. The hardest part about the hip is that it needs to be protected for several months where the knee was to work it. Guest guest
Hi . I'm happy to hear you are doing so well with your new hip! Don't rush getting off that walker. You really need to follow doctors orders to the letter so that you don't have any complications. It may feel like you can do so much more and put more weight on it. I'm sorry to hear about the sores. They sound terribly painful. What did the dermatologist say? a [ ] current perdicament I'm going to take a moment to explain my current problem.
