The one physician whom they quoted as saying pain was overtreated, Dr. Hamic, is off her rocker! Also, I would like to ask her what in the world she means by " benign pain. " The emphasis of the article is right on. I don't have much sympathy for those who are using these drugs illegally. Furthermore, the misguided actions of relatively few should not impact the much larger numbers of those who are in pain who need and will use narcotics legally and safely. Thanks for posting this.
