Lynn, That was how I reacted to the toradol injections on the last 2 I got.

The first week I just thought I had a flu bug..........the second week I

started to compare notes and then my dr and I decided no more toradol for me

......I had been getting injections of toradol off and on for 4 yrs.then

booom!!allergic.......So do discuss it with your dr and then

decide............JUdy in AZ

Hi my name is paulette and when I was taking metro I did the same thing. I

even had a colapsed lung after the third shot. The pills didn't make me as

sick but I sure lost hair and felt on the yuckky sid. Maybe though you could

have caught a bug.

-- [ ] metho question

Hi,

I was so ill last week with what we thought was a stomach virus. However,

I have been thinking that right after I injected the metho, I didn't feel

well. The next day I was much worse. Fever, chills, terrible stomach

pains. Called the primary but didn't think about the metho until today.

When I saw him Saturday, better but not great he thought it was the virus.

But I was thinking it odd that I didn't know anyone sick and no one around

me got it. Tonight I was thinking is it possible it was the metho. I am

concerned about taking it again on Wednesday, which was when all this

started. I think I should called the Rheumy. Has anyone had this happen

to them? I guess it could have been a bug but I remember not feeling well

right after the injection.

Hi ette,

We thought it was a bug, but now that I am feeling better and thinking

about all this, I realized that almost immediately after the injection I

felt ill. I am going to call the Rheumy and primary today and see what

they say. I am afraid to do the injection tomorrow, without talking to

them. I will let you know. Thank you for your help. Hope you have a good

day,

Hi Judy,

I am hoping it is not a problem with the metho, but I really think it is.

This drug was my last hope drug. I have had problems with everything we

have tried. I will let you know as soon as I get in touch with the Rheumy.

He is good about calling back. I don't want to do another injection until

I speak with him. I just had the stomach surgery and I am afraid of doing

some harm to all that, if I get sick again. Thank you for your help. Have

a good day, the sun is out in Pa., but I think we are suppose to get rain.

That is okay though we need it very badly.

Lynn, how I wish you could feel better! Please do call the rheumy this

morning. Under the circumstances, you don't want to take any chances.

Are you taking folic acid, too? Maybe the rheumy could decrease the

dose. How much are you taking?

Hoping you can take a turn for the better soon,

Hi ,

I am waiting for him to call me back. I do take folic acid have since I

started the metho.. I take 6mg of metho weekly, I am suppose to increase

it though. I am not doing anything until I talk to the Rheumy and primary.

I am too afraid to take any chances. I'll let you know. Hope you and the

kids are doing fine.

Hi Lynn,

I have been taking methotrexate for a couple of years now. I had a lot of

" flu " symptoms when I was taking the pills but really have not had much

trouble with the injections. I really think that this is something for you

to call your rheumy about. He may have some suggestions that can help your

individual condition. By the way, what part of Pa are you in? I am in

southwest Pa., about 50 mile south of Pittsburgh.

Your welcom Lynn I had the same thing happen to me with the shots and not

with the pills. Good luck. I wouldn't have the next shot until they know how

it's affecting you.

Hi a and everyone,

First thank you all for your help on the metho problem. I spoke to the

Rheumy yesterday. He doesn't feel what happen to me had anything to do

with the metho. He told me, I have been on it too long for that to happen.

So I guess it was a virus. Maybe the metho injection made it worse. I

will still talk to the primary, but I do trust my Rheumy. Looks like it

was a bug. The Rheumy did want to know what they are going to do about

everything I eat coming back up and the bacteria. Told him I have reglan

to push the food through the intestines. Bacteria I won't know till the end

of the month.

Anyway I will still be a little worried tongith when I inject the metho.

He did tell me to lower the dose this week and next week go back to the

regular dose. So I will do as he says.

Again thanks everyone, you are all such great help,

Lynn(MeMom)

a hope you and are well. Wish our weather was nicer.
