Guest guest
I don't do what I should as far as exercise Jensen - I just try to keep her up and walking as much as she possibly can around the house. We leave her wheelchair in the van so while she is inside she has to walk. The longer I can keep her walking the better, don't you think? Jensen and her two brothers (both with asthma), as well as myself and husband, all get flu shots each year. We've been so lucky so far - we stay pretty healthy through the winter, but this last year it never got REALLY bad, so I'm hoping we will have another really mild winter. It was wonderful hearing from you!!! RE: Tufty's big new! Hi On 23 Aug 2002 at 15:20, Houser wrote: > Yes, we did! Guest guest
>The longer I can keep her walking the better, don't you think? My mother thought the same thing. However, the last year or so that I " walked " was a terrible struggle. I was so weak that I could barely lift my walker to take a step and I spained my ankles quite often from falling. When they finally gave in and got me a wheelchair it was a welcome relief. So, no, I do not beleive in the longer the better. I beleive in doing what makes sense at the time. I still remember my parents sitting me in my baby sister's carriage (age 8 and 9) when I couldn't walk any further...humilation/the struggle to walk! Why? To keep me walking longer? That was not reasonable. They must have been in deep denial. I know they thought they were doing the right thing at that time. As you can see, I feel strongly about this. Lori RE: Tufty's big new!
