Guest guest
Hello everyone: I have to tell this story because I just have to share it...I will try to give the condensed version....four years ago I was diagnosed with spinal problems ....I had worked for the city i lived in for 17 years; my pain had gotten so bad i had to quit...thought I would take a break and go back to work...tried part time...couldnt do it...so Social Security here I came...if anyone had told me what I was about to go through I would have never believed them...I was told my biggest problem was my age at the time I was 40...in the next 4 years i was diagnosed with scleroderma, lupus with brain involvement, fibro, chronic insomnia, depression, dysphgia, reynauds, bilateral carpal tunnel surgery that failed and degenerative disc disease. With all this Social Security denied me....today I had my day in court..it took 15 minutes for a judge to say, I cant believe you had to wait this long....I am sorry...and you will be back paid to 1998... So I guess what I am trying to say is never give up ....somewhere out there is a doctor that knows what he is doing...mine was a rheumy that wouldnt give up...and even if the wheels work slowly they do work... even on the days you just want to give up and find that hole to go crawl in...it will get better, and finally it is not all in your head and you are not crazy...hugs to you all Kathi in Ok
