I sure hope you are better today.

You know the only time I am totally pain free is when I go to bed, I fall

asleep in about 3 min and I am in heaven for 8 full hours, I could be in the

middle of a cyclone and not know it.

I feel guilty sometimes. Wish I could pass the secret on to you.

Most people can't clear their mind long enough.

I say my prayers and I'm gone. My sweetie is up all night. He is lucky if he

can sleep 4 hours a night. Lots of times he is up when I go to bed and up

when I get up in the mornin.

Please let us know how you are.

You'd think RA was enough but OH NOOOO, we have to bear 20 other problems

too.

I did eventually get some relief last night and am going to try to get better

Hi Carol,

No, of course, he KNOWS that this is not going to heal by itself unless I

stick a lot of Super Glue in it somehow! LOL!!!! But I guess he wants to

give my body every opportunity to avoid the OR. It is definitely a double

edge sword. As you can see by the time of my post, this lovely knee is

keeping me up even with pain pills and my tummy has not settle down from this

am and my next stop is going to be the ER as I am afraid that I may be

obstructing. I would be having any surgery done by this ortho surgeon at

West Boca Medical Center as I went to another hospital he is on staff at a

little closer to home but not that much (North Broward Medical Center @ 95 &

Sample Road) but the care was absolutely HORRIBLE. They refused to put me in

an ortho bed post op, so I had to crawl from the gurney to my bed with this

open incision in my left knee. Next, I am diabetic and they NEVER drew my

blood sugars and when I questioned where my medication was (Glucatrol) they

said, Well, it is so late today, we will just try again tomorrow! The last

straw came when I asked for a private room and we sent from one area to

another to be messed around with and never got my private room. So my

roommate was discharged at 10:00 am one morning and her bed was not cleaned

or made until 36 hours AFTER she left. Now my immune system is compromised

from all the medication that I take and God only knows what this woman had!!!

So I could not get out of their fast enough and told my surgeon that I would

NEVER go back there again. I went to West Boca for my last surgery and they

were not too bad. When I originally started with this ortho he practiced out

of Plantation, no problem. My tkr's were done at Westside Regional Hospital,

still no problem. Then he started having " issues " and changed practices to

Cleveland Clinic, still not a big problem. He lasted 6 months there and now

he is with a group way down in Lighthouse Point and these are the hospitals

that he is on staff at. So aren't you glad you asked???? LOL!

Who knows, maybe divine intervention will set in and heal this sucker,

however, living in the real world, I am preparing mentally and physically for

this major surgery. He will be removing most of the patella and now my kids

are quite worried as to how I will be able to stand up. I think it is a

pretty good question! LOL

Enjoy your stepson's visit. I have teenagers coming on the 4th and I am sure

by the end of the day, I will feel like something the cat dragged in! Just

so long as the kids have a good safe day!!! Happy Birthday America!
