It is thought that TMD can be precipitated and/or affected by arthritis

Meghan,

I have trouble on and off with tmj, but I relate mine to having

broken my jaw as a kid, so I don't know if it relates to RA.

RA can affect anywhere we have cartilage, which includes the jaw.

Many people have said that their arthritis causes TMJ.

We're having a big thread on TMJ on the PA board. Have y'all

discussed that? I have a question for y'all- do you think TMJ could

be caused or at the very least aggravated by inflammatory-type

arthritis'?
