Guest guest
Hi , > I do have some good and confusing news. I have not taken my >methotrexate in about a month because of the surgery and my RA is >doing better now than when I was taking the med. My knees and >hands are functioning reasonably well and I can actually see my >kneecaps for the first time in over 6 months. My back is still a little >sore, but not unbearable. I had a similar experience when I had thyroid surgery several years ago. I was so concerned about how bad I was going to feel not being able to take my Tylenol (back then it was the only thing I could take, besides Vioxx, which I was put on and taken off, back and forth, depending on my liver function tests). When I came out of the drug induced stupor from the operation, I just *swung* my legs over the side of the bed like I'd never had a stiff day in my life! This continued for about 2 weeks (?), not sure on the time frame, since it was so long ago... It at least continued through the early part of my recovery. I thought I was cured! Unfortunately, the symptoms returned, and since I hadn't been diagnosed yet, and was not on DMARDs, I continued to get worse and the areas of pain spread. I later decided it must have had something to do with the drugs the anestheseologists had used on me. Regardless of what happens in your case, please enjoy feeling good!!
