Hi ,

> I do have some good and confusing news. I have not taken my

>methotrexate in about a month because of the surgery and my RA is >doing

better now than when I was taking the med. My knees and >hands are

functioning reasonably well and I can actually see my >kneecaps for the

first time in over 6 months. My back is still a little >sore, but not

unbearable.

I had a similar experience when I had thyroid surgery several years ago. I

was so concerned about how bad I was going to feel not being able to take my

Tylenol (back then it was the only thing I could take, besides Vioxx, which

I was put on and taken off, back and forth, depending on my liver function

tests). When I came out of the drug induced stupor from the operation, I

just *swung* my legs over the side of the bed like I'd never had a stiff day

in my life! This continued for about 2 weeks (?), not sure on the time

frame, since it was so long ago... It at least continued through the early

part of my recovery. I thought I was cured!

Unfortunately, the symptoms returned, and since I hadn't been diagnosed yet,

and was not on DMARDs, I continued to get worse and the areas of pain

spread.

I later decided it must have had something to do with the drugs the

anestheseologists had used on me. Regardless of what happens in your case,

please enjoy feeling good!!

Dearest ...you taking care of YOU is what we all want! Please do

follow up asap with your neuro.

You are a sweet, tender, caring Mom, and taking care of you will

ultimately benefit Wyatt. Be gentle with yourself. Prayers are still

heading Heavenwrd.

Hugs (VERY gentle ones : ) of Hope...
