Guest guest
Dear Friends...My tonsillectomy has been approved and scheduled for June 11. The other procedures my ENT wanted to do (uppp surgery) were not approved as they don't approve surgery for sleep apnea. My tonsils which are chronically infected and structurally too large for the size of my throat are the main issue (and of course do affect the 'obstructive sleep apnea'), so I am absolutely ok with this. I hope you will all bear with me...I am so hoping to improve my health, lose some excess body fat, regain my mobility, I want to really utilize everything...the physical therapy, the tonsillectomy, hopefully an improvement in my breathing and sleeping, to work toward these goals. Also, I am scared. Being as morbidly obese as I am any surgery is extra risky. But all my doctors are very confident this procedure will be a step to better health and that I will come through it fine. I have to tell the anastesiologist EVERYTHING...all diagnoses, medications, and also bring along my CPAP machine to the hospital. My ENT wants me in the hospital the day before surgery and probably two days after to monitor me. I might ramble a lot about this, so have patience with me. I'm really feeling emotional right now. Yikes. Debs, I'm ready to order my nightie. Love & Hugs & Prayers for all... Tess
