Guest guest
Welcome to the group, Louise! I'm very glad you decided to introduce yourself. Sorry about your RA and all the complications and frustrations you've faced. Sounds like you are a fighter though. Good work! How do you like Remicade? Thanks for sharing your perspective on the bureaucratic nightmare so many of our members live or have battled. I agree that the system doesn't make much sense and compassion is nowhere to be found within it. Again, welcome. [ ] New group mwmber > Dear RASupport Group, I have been reading the E-mails that have been sent to various members of the groupfor about two weeks. I can really relate to all that has been discussed. I was first diagnosed in 1993. at age 42. I have tried numerous meds had a lot of side effects and finally after many arguments with our insurer I am on Remicade. I also had to quit work apply for Social Security disability and had both knees replaced last summer. I really regret that is made so hard for individuals who truly have a disability to get this point across to the bureaucrats who control the system. I finally had to get a lawyer win my case but regret that it was necessary to do so. Why did social security doubt the paperwork of my physicians. I just do not understand this the paper pushers are making decisions for people that they neither know or have even laid eyes on. I know that it can be so frustrating and when you are sick and in pain it is more frustrating. Loking foward to hearing from the members of the group Sincerely, Louise In Alabama > Louise
