Guest guest
I've been toying with the idea of working at the movie theatre snipping tickets. I keep thinking to myself " If a guy with cerebral palsey can do it, I could do it too " I do like the idea of temping 1 day at a time or so though. I will definitely go and apply at the local temp agencies and see how that goes. The problem is (and I've been told this before) that they say I'm over-qualified and I used to make too much money (i worked in computer software industry). I'll give it another try anyway... Guest guest
Meghan, I've always thought the same thing, that if people worse off than me can work then so can I. But in reality I found that between fatigue and concentration, it's more difficult than it seems. I think it depends on how much pain you have. Pain does funny things to our minds and bodies. When pain keeps us awake at night, being ready to go to work in the morning isn't easy. I am not mentally alert when I hurt. Who is? What it comes down to is that I am very unreliable. One day I feel well enough to work and the next day I'm on the couch all day. But we are all different and have various degrees of pain and disability. If you feel you can work a few hours a week, then go for it! a [ ] Re: How do you look for work I've been toying with the idea of working at the movie theatre snipping tickets.
