Guest guest
Hi... Just a note to see how everyone is doing..I have so enjoyed all the responses that I have gotten and they have helped me very much. I do have to say that I decided to stop taking the Mobic after I read the link that I got. Low and behold, my stomach cramps have stopped and the pain in my right elbow, wrist and hand also disappeared. Strange isn't it. Also I am hoping that the weight gain over the past few weeks was a result of that, and will melt away now that I am not taking it anymore. No such luck I am sure, but there is always hope. Tomorrow is my 43rd birthday, I hope every year that they will find a cure for all of us, but that doesn't seem to happen, so I am just going to hope for another year of less pain, and happiness for us all. I guess I shouldn't dwell on myself so much when I have a granddaughter that has Cystic Fibrosis. She will be 4 in a few weeks, and her father has not seen her in 3 years. What a trooper she is, she has been dealing with the stuff since she was 7 months old, so taking pills and treatments are nothing new to her. Just when you think you have it bad, just take a look at someone else. How many of you also have thyroid problems? They two seem to go hand and hand. I also have a hernia in my asophogus(spelling to be excused please), any one else have this? Well so much for just a little note, but then again, I do tend to go on and on...Will greatly appreciate any responses...Here is hoping all of you are well.... Love, Bridgette....Maine

Guest guest
Hi Bridgette...Happy Birthday tomorrow! I, too, hope it is a new year of less pain. I hope your day is wonderful. I have a very minor low thyroid for which I take levoxyl. No other thyroid problems that I know of. When my youngest daughter was about 18 months old, she began losing weight, became lethargic, and some of her bloodwork was off. She went for many tests at the University Hospital, one was for cystic fibrosis. That's when I first learned anything about it. Thankfully, she did not have CF. But my heart goes out to your precious grandaughter. She will be in my prayers, as are you. Someone on TV the other day said they are very close to finding a cure for CF. From their lips to God's ear! (My daughter - we adopted her at 14 months, just had giardia - a parasite - and once treated was ok. She is now 23 and engaged. Thank the Lord for many blessings!) I'm glad you're here, Bridgette. This is a place full of kindness, information, and love. Hugs of Hope... Tess
Guest guest
Hi Tess.... Thanks so much for the Birthday wish. I know the children have something up their sleeves...My oldest daughter almost blew it..hehe...I am wondering what they have cooked up this year....They usually surprise me... I am on synthroid for my thyroid...it took them many months to get the dosage right...I am really getting tired of being the pill guinnea pig. I was really siked about the pill for the thyroid...my Dr. told me the weight would fall right off...yeah...okay..Still waiting for that and it has been over two years.. As for my granddaughter, yes they are getting close to a cure...if I had a hundred years with her, it still wouldn't be enough. As a matter of fact they had the CF walk in Augusta yesterday. My daughter and I put money cans all over town, we have car washes, bake sales, whatever we can do to raise money for them. Sara is coming over to spend the night with me. I have had her quite a bit because my daughter has been going to College. She granduated last weekend from the University of Maine in Augusta from the Nursing Program. She is going on the get her Bach..So Sara and I have become very close...I have 4 grandchildren in all. They all hold a very special place in my heart..A special place that is just theirs... I am alway here if you just want to chat...And thank you once again for your wishes, blessings and prayers...And congrats on your daughter's engagment... Love..hugs Bridgette Tess_St_Pierre@... wrote: Hi Bridgette...Happy Birthday tomorrow! I, too, hope it is a new year of less pain. I hope your day is wonderful. Guest guest
Happy Birthday Bridgette! I also have a thyroid problem and was told years ago that I was born with it, had a thyroidectomy at age 19 (I'm almost 52 now)so have been on sythroid for many years. I am the only one in the family that has RA, another words no family history. It would be interesting to know if there is a connection,( always think there is a reason for everything). It is amazing how children handle illness and larger problems in their lives we could learn a lot from them. I have 6 grandchildren 3 of which I have lived with or near since they were born, I now live over 300 miles away from them and having quite a time ajusting. Just got back from a two week stay at my daughters (she is the one I have lived close to) and I miss them already. I call it my grandkid fix, they are habit forming. I hope all goes well with your daughter and school, also hoping for that cure for CF. Have a good day and again Happy Birthday! in WA
Guest guest
Hi Bridgette, Happy birthday!!! Hope you have many more less painful ones. I look to see cures for many of our diseases in our lifetime. and wouldn't it be wonderful to see a cure for one of our very own loved ones,my my God would get an earful then. Well, Enjoy your special day Judy in Indy
Guest guest
I think you've got to be proactive, call, ask questions, and expect the doctor to change meds until they are right. Is that too much to expect? Sheree
