Guest guest
Hi, Thought I would let you know the ortho doctor called me today. He says there is no doubt that I do have carpal tunnel plus the neck injury is still there. It is a bittersweet diagnoses. Actually he said my neck is in bad shape. There is the pinched nerve, a bulge, and a herinated disk. There is no surgery to help any of it. I could try surgery for the carpal tunnel but the main problem is in my neck not the wrist. Even though they are affected. He also said he would not want me to undergo a surgery after just having the whipple. At least he proved the wc doctor wrong. We decided to try physical therapy and aquatic therapy. He didn't seem like he expected much from it but I thought it was worth a try. Maybe I would get some of the feeling back in my feet. So I guess my attorney will send the report to the judge and we wait and see what she does. So this was good news but also bad news. Especially since there is very little that can be done. He told me, he can not fuse a neck in three places. Just thought I would let you know. Now it is too round three with wc. Hope everyone has a painter day. Guest guest
Lynn, I¹m sorry that what you already knew, has been confirmed. I have a feeling that this will all be over soon. It¹s pretty obvious that other serious health concerns are what put the treatment for the neck and the carpel tunnel on the back burner. Since the neck injury and the carpel tunnel were the beginnings of your problems, it may be able to be said that it is the result of the initial injury. The fact that SS has been approved must surely weight on the judge¹s decision. I hope the therapy offers you some relief. a On 5/29/02 7:52 AM, " Ruf-Caimi " <ruf-caimi@...> wrote: > Hi, > Thought I would let you know the ortho doctor called me today. Guest guest
Hi a, How are feeling? I hope you have recovered from your graduation!!! Thanks for your note, I hope you are right. It was kind of what I wanted to hear and yet not what I wanted. But maybe good will come out of therapy. I am not a big fan of therapy but I am willing to give it a good try. I just got my grades and I am in shock. I actually passed economics. Only a C and my first C but at least I don't have to take it over. Guest guest
Hi Kathy, Yes the injury is from work. I had a very physical job. I worked for s Nursery and Crafts. I was an assistant manager but to get to that point you had to know how to run a nursery yard. Which meant lifting bags of top soil, mulch, and trees. Someday I would be on this mulch line lifting for 10 to 12 hours. No one ever trained any of us to lift heavy stuff. So we just did it and I damaged my neck. The worst part of it all was that I was probably injured for a year before I felt the pain. I had to leave work seven years ago and it has been such an ordeal with wc since than. From the very beginning both my employer and wc admitted that the injury happened at work. I think that was a major mistake on the employer and wc part. How are things with your spy????? I know how you feel don't let your guard up though. They are there even when you think they are not. I long ago adjusted my head to the fact that they are there and there is nothing I could do about it. Just go with it and don't give them any thing to file.
