Good news, Stacey!

That's interesting that you are feeling so good despite being off the

MTX. What meds were you given before, during, and after surgery? Are you

on anything now?

Your outing to the festival sounds like it was a lot of fun. I hope you

aren't too sore tomorrow.

Keep behaving. Let others continue to help you. You need assistance

right now, and I'm sure those who love you want to and need to feel like

they are contributing to your recovery.

Glad you didn't fall off the planet!

Hi All,

Sorry that I haven't posted in a while. Been having computer problems. Hope

I figured them out. I did something really stupid the other day and ended up

in the emergency room. Went out to get the mail and noticed a new phone book

in a bag on the ground next to the mailbox and bent down to pick it up and

immediately felt a severe burning pain in my low back, right where the

surgery was. The dr in the ER told me that I would probable have to get

another MRI and put me on a Medrol dose pack, gave me a pred IV and a shot in

the butt of Toradol and sent me home with Percoset. Told me to call

neurosurgeon after the holiday and let him know how I feel and go from there.

I am feeling better, but have more steroids in my body that a pro football

player that it is hard to tell if I really hurt myself. Wyatt is staying

with my mom for the weekend to give me some rest. I feel like a terrible

mother right now. On top of all of this, I am just getting over an

intestinal virus and haven't eaten in 2 days. Just starting eating light

foods (soup and crackers). But I have been reading the e-mails when I am

able. I had 317 of them tonight. Sorry that I can't respond to individuals

right now, but I am still here and praying for all of you.

,

I'm so sorry to hear you hurt your back. I know there are times I do

something in spite of the fact that it's not the wisest decision. I wouldn'

t feel like a bad mother because of that. You're simply giving in to the

desire to do things for yourself. What a shame it is that it backfired so

badly.

Get some rest this weekend, and hopefully you'll feel better soon.

Hugs,

Thank you Carol. I guess that I'm just so used to doing everything myself

that sometimes I just do things without thinking that I should wait for help

or just leave it until later. Live and learn, I guess.

Stacey,

I know how upsetting this is but don¹t be hard on yourself. You surely

didn¹t do this on purpose!

There a good chance that you did NO damage, so try not to get to stressed.

I hope your doctor can see you right away so you know what is going on.

Hope your stomach feels better.

You¹ve really been having a rough week. Please take care of yourself and

don¹t worry about trying to catch up on mail.
