Robbin: you and your daughter inspired me with your grocery store parking

lot incident. In our neighbor in Cleveland, Ohio they just built a new Giant

Eagle with all their fancy floors, etc. Ashli was having a hard time walking

that day, her heel/ankle had been hurting for a few hours, but I knew Giant

Eagle always had those big carts where the kids can sit in the back. (The

ones where they have the big green seats for two behind the cart.) Well, we

went in and no carts like this. I asked the women passing out the new

coupons/flyers and she told me I would have to talk to management. I went to

customer service and they told me because they have the new " eagle's nest "

where the kids can play they weren't getting the bigger carts like that. I

told her three things: first, what about the kids under 3 who aren't aloud

in the Eagle's nest; second, what about parents (like me) who enjoy having

their child with them in the store; and third, I told her about JRA and how I

don't want to put my daughter in their babysitting store I want the carts

where she doesn't have to walk around the store. I've told everyone I know

in the neighborhood and have many parents complaining and requesting these

carts back.

God Bless,

Sandi A. (Ashli's mom)

I usually use one of the electric carts from the store when I go grocery

shopping as I cant walk even hanging onto the regular buggy that long w/o

sitting somewhere for a few. Sometimes it limits the stores I shop at but

hey, I do manage to get most everything. I was raised in snow country so I

shop like I am planning for a blizzard even though I live in HOT PHOENIX

AZ....just a habit......but when I do my big shopping trip I make sure my son

is home to unload and help put away. I usually go shopping with a friend

....but most times if I have to reach something up high or down low I have

been lucky that other people or a spare courtesy clerk has been handy to

help.....and if I know I have to get something heavy(cat litter, laundry

soap)I tell my friend a head of time and we go directly to that aisle and she

puts in cart for me.....they usually help unload at front of store to check

out ......I am very lucky that I have the help .......We also have a store

chain here in the valley that you can call in your order ,use coupons, and

pay$9.95 and they will shop, bag and deliver your groceries to your

kitchen..........a friend of mine does this.......he loves it. I have thought

of trying it myself....Judy in AZ
