STUDY FINDS 'UNEXPECTED' STEROID LEVELS IN PREGNANT LUPUS PATIENTS

Contrary to previous belief, serum estrogen and progesterone levels in

pregnant patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) do not

increase during the second and third trimesters, according to Italian

researchers.
