Hi,

Well, tomorrow, I see the back ortho surgeon. He will decide if I can have

another round of epidural injections or have to have surgery on my herniated

discs. I am praying for the first option as I can't imagine having back

surgery. The Skelaxin that they prescribed for me has helped very little.

This will be my third series of epidurals, I don't know how many one can

safely get.

Saw the rheumy yesterday. He is very very alarmed over the blood situation

and wants a stat bone marrow biopsy. He feels that this could be part of the

RA or a totally stand alone problem. He says that the platelet count was

normal until the beginning of March and by the end of March, the platelets

were already climbing and the hgb/hct were starting to drop. He says that

this may account for my less than expected results from the Remicade. His

suggestion for the week before the Remicade infusion is to take extra

prednisone and extra pain pills; whatever I need to do to get thru that week.

He was much more pre occuped about the blood thing than anything else. He

was going to speak with the hematologist asap. At this point, I am so

exhausted that most days I can hardly pick my head off the pillow. Tomorrow

my appointment is at 8:30 am, so I should get to bed pretty soon to be there

on time.

Hope you all have a pain free evening with cool summer breezes blowing.

Gentle, tender, angel hugs,

Debs in FL
