Hello Tess,

You know my prayers are with you. And I thank you for

them yesterday. The only decision I made was to make

the call this morning and not take the job 40 miles

one way. And I have no clue what I am going to do. I

have never been to the point where the basic bills may

not get paid. That is not to say I have money, I cut

back on food and meds which is not correct.

I know how you feel and you aren't alone. But hey

with the $10.00 a month food stamps I get I'll go far.

It is stupid I think, a few people trying to obtain

the world for nothing screw it up for the ones that

need it.

Tess, a hug ((((((((Tess))))))) and prayers are with

you.

Let me check back later with you. Getting ready and

getting my daughter ready is what I need to do right

now.

Love you, Sheri

Tess,

I would like to ask just exactly what reaction did you get from the sun? and

how long were you in the sun?

This concerns me cause I am going to Fl. next wed. I have a big sun hat, and

my #30 sunblock. I want to go to the beach but I don't want to risk any kind

of reactions.

Hope you are feeling better.

And take it from me, I know about the state agencies. They make you feel like

you came from under a rock they must take a class in degrading 101.

Dear Judy...We were at a park, having lunch at a picnic table. It was

warm for Oregon in May...probably 78 degrees. I wasn't right in the

direct sun, but got more sun exposure than usual.

About 20 minutes into our picnic, the knuckle where my left index finger

meets the hand began aching, and when I looked at it, it was swollen and

red. Then I noticed the right one doing the same thing.

That afternoon I started feeling more achey & stiff all over, and temp

went to just above 100. Within 3 days my right knuckle looked almost

normal, and there was some improvement in the left. But I haven't

returned to my normal Remicade GOOD feeling. My left elbow has swollen

up and is weak & painful. All my fingers are somewhat swollen. And

I've had irritable bowell for days (which I've gotten from sun exposure

before.)

I'm glad you've got your hat & sunscreen. I hope you have a great time

but be careful my friend.

Love & Hugs...

Tess

Judy,

Hope you don't mind me jumping in here. But I was always able to be in the

sun that is before RA. Be careful, two years ago I was down in NC and got a

very

bad burn. I was burning so bad even in the shade. It spoil the whole vacation.

I talked to the druggist and he said it was from the medications I take. Two

weeks ago I was just driving my car and got a terrible burn and it wasn't even

that warm out. Now it is hat and sun block for me. Plus I really watch that I

do not sit in the sun but be careful you can burn in the shade too.

Hi everyone,

I take methotrexate. On the pill bottle is a warning to stay out of the sun

until you know how it will affect you. (Isn't that an oxymoron?) How could

you know how it affected you if you stayed out of the sun? Anyway, living in

Florida, where it is mostly sunny and warm, I get a lot of sun exposure just

driving back and forth to work, as well as driving moderate distances to

shop or visit friends. I've noticed that after several hours of exposure

through the car windows that my arms can develop what look like red welts.
