Guest guest
HI I finally got to my old ortho dr who replaced my rt knee in 11/98. I really like him...we talked about how it was doing (he hadnt seen it since 1/99) and what was I there for....so I told him and he sent me for xrays of both dwn the hall......I finally got to see the inside of my knee replacement...it is holding up so well and looks like no wear at all...he says my range of motion is wonderful(I can practically kick myself in the butt if I need to).Anyway, on to my lt one....he says yes there is OA in there and I am wearing the cartilage down and some bursitis in there still....so I took another shot of cortisone in there (it's been almost 2 months since the last one and my knee didnt feel better till my RD gave me a little shot of kenelog to boost my daily medrol into gear). He said he hopes it works for at least 6 weeks....but that we may have to scope it or the possibility of using a drug like SYnvisc in there too. He was reading about my wonderful medical history of last yr...and said he would hope I would do better if he had to do surgery....but we could plan ahead and take extra precautions(when he did a scope in 97 and then the replacement in 98 ...I had no problems....so I trust him. Anyway , he is hoping that we can to do the Synvisc thing cos it would bide me some time... Anyway, it is extremely dry here in AZ...10% humidity ...you would think that would be great but everyone is complaining of nosebleeds, headaches, etc from the dryness and over 100 most days....actually only 99 today.....personally I do well till it goes over 105...then it compares to 30 below ...and you feel the diference..... May everyone have a great night...painfree...or at least less pain......Judy in AZ
