Guest guest
>I think this is a great test for people to use. My Dad had a stroke after finding out his was blocked. It was too late for him. He is 5'11 and 140 lbs. He was taking a tire off a tractor rim using a ball peen hammer and a sledge hammer and a tire tool. Old guys like him who worked all their lives hard labor in the fields have been unafraid of that kind of exertion. I think that " over exertion " does have the capability to put you in the hospital. A person should never work beyond their physical limit. But, most of the time we don't know what that limit may be. Also, we won't know if our carotid is blocked or not without being tested. Guess I might need to get that done myself. I wonder if the ultrasound version of this test yields much more useful information than the stethoscope-to-the-carotid routine does where an experienced ear listens for bruits.
