Results showed that lycopene absorption from the orange tomato sauce was 2.5 times higher than that absorbed from the red tomato sauce... " While red tomatoes contain far more lycopene than orange tomatoes, most of it is in a form that the body doesn't absorb well "
Guest guest
Orange tomatoes and red carrots.. what else will they think of? I don't care what the color if better I heartily embrace it. http://www.ars.usda.gov/is/AR/archive/nov04/carrot1104.htm Often astounded, however, by the sheer number of people that tell me a red or green carrot is so at odds with their preconception of how that particular food should look that they'd never ever even try it! Although I am fairly sure their misgivings have a psychological basis I really can't relate to it in any way, shape or form. Unfortunately such resistance or " phobia " to trying " unusual " food will slow the introduction of these wonderful products to the market bill4cr > > http://www.reuters.com/article/healthNews/idUSCOL77047620070307 > > NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - Food scientists at Ohio State University > in Columbus have grown a special variety of orange tomatoes...
