Angie,

WOW! I can't believe they showed a banded baby. I really think the

word is finally starting to spread! WOOHOO

> Hi everyone I am in the Kansas City, Missouri area. Lastnight

they did a story on an 18 yr old mom who left her baby in a park.

They suspected she was on drugs. Anyway they said the baby was in

good health. But they did show the back of the baby's head which was

very flat. I commented to my husband about it. The next sentence

was the reporter saying that the baby had a very flat head.

Wow Angie!

That's great they discussed the baby's headshape & even mentioned helmets!!! Wow...hey beggers can't be choosers, so even though they could've gone more in depth, I'm happy to hear they at least briefly mentioned it!

Thanks for sharing.

They did about a 2 minute report on flat heads. They never mentioned plagiocephaly. They did however mention how important it is to notifty the doctor if you notice your baby having or getting a flattened head. They mentioned the importance of tummy time. The showed a banded baby and said how wonderful he was rounding.

Just thought I would share. That is the first thing I have seen on tv mentioning tummy time around here.
