Hi :

'Phosphate' is a chemical compound that is called phosphate because

one of the elements of which it is composed is phosphorus. So the

answer is yes.

But one gram of phosphate is not the same as one gram of phosphorus

because the phsophate contains the other elements also in addition to

the phosphorus.
