h graduated to a regular room!!!!!!! It's nice to be out of the CCU and have

a few less *policies* to contend with. We're now in room 8421 and the direct

line in is (615)936-4206. h's doing well clearing her lungs - they sound

much better. She did scare us last night when she started vomiting. I could just

see us right back downstairs because of aspiration! Thank GOD it doesn't seem to

have affected her lungs. We gave her some zofran and her stomach is fine now.

Her sats are still dipping at night so we're going to see about the switch to a

volume cycle vent. Our new cough assist should be here in less than an hour.

The issues that we currently have are less lung and more heartrate/BP. We've

noticed that in the past days h's heartrate is pretty erratic. We have times

when her heartrate is at 120 (12pm today) and other times that it's down in the

low 50's (2am today). I finally decided last night that since nobody else is

doing it that I will document all of these fluctuations. Right now it's on scrap

paper (since that's all I have *LOL*) but once someone is here to sit with h

I'll run downstairs and get a notebook. I'm also insisting that the nurses come

and look when it's either high or low so that they can document it and I don't

seem like a paranoid attention seeker. Her BP is also still dipping to numbers

that seem too low to me. at 10:15 this morning we got 91/78. Her HR was 66 at

the time.

I'm going to run and do a bit more research. I'm trying to find

something....... ANYTHING to explain these numbers.

Love and Hugs

Hi Jeni,

I just wanted you to know that I am thinking about you guys and really glad

to hear that h is out of the CCU. My heart rate goes up and down a lot

too...but I¹ve never thought too much about it. Please keep keeping us

posted...

Love,
