Guest guest
Mercola makes no mention of how he plans on lowering insulin levels without reducing calorie intake. Protein promotes insulin release nearly as much as carbohydrate so I guess the solution would be eating mostly fat calories. Now, since insulin is a satiety hormone, if most of your calories are coming from fat you wont get alot of satiety, so it's not likely you'd be eating fewer calories. While they are called Recommended " Daily " Intake, the number was actually based on averages of populations over time, and was not a number that reflected an amount that must be take in every day. It was more what must be " averaged " over time. Regards Jeff Jeff Novick, MS, RD, LD/N Join The Revolution! www.JeffNovick.com
