Guest guest
What I meant about the people who had adequate Vit D were 60% less likely to get all cancers (of course prostate cancer was not included in this study since it involved women only). Sorry about that. The discussion concerned Vit D (yet again!). The show can be heard on the NPR/Diane Rhem website and is aired again tonight(at least here on the U.S. East coast) at 10pm, I believe. Among the highlights: optimum Vit D levels protected against 60% of ALL cancers! More studies need to be done as this one study involved a small number of Caucasian women only (no men) . Up to 2000 IU of Vit D ddialy can be safely ingested. The researchers all supplemented with at least a minumum of 400 IU daily.
