Guest guest
I have thought for a long time that that is what the British are doing, focusing only on the MMR to deflect attention from the mercury issue. It seems as if the CDC are now following that lead. Re: Scarborough Country > Good idea Bobbie! I just did, after watching. Guest guest
I wondered if they are so arrogant that they just weren't paying attention and sent the wrong quote. -----Original Message-----From: EOHarm [mailto:EOHarm ] On Behalf Of celiacdaughterSent: Thursday, March 02, 2006 5:02 AMEOHarm Subject: Re: Scarborough CountryThat MMR quote at the end made no sense... Even my husband who doesn't follow much of this stuff caught on to their failure to address the issue in question (thimerosal/mercury). What's the deal? 1) Scarborough didn't put their entire quote up?2) Misdirecting people3) They can't get caught in a lie after the fact? 4) Maybe they (AAP) are too stupid to know that the MMR isn't chock full of thimerosal? (I'm sort of kidding here, but who knows)?Strange. I meant the MMR is an issue as well of course but the interview with Kirby was about mercury... - Sue M. > >> > In anticipation of the autism segment on Scarborough Country > tonight, > > I wanted to suggest that parents prepare an email to send as soon > as > > the show ends tonight. > > > > Thank Joe for the attention to this subject. In my opinion it was one of disgust. Meaning there was a whole lot more he would have liked to have said and heard form Kirby. Would Love to see him have kenedy on again. especially after the piece he just wrote about the CDC coming clean. Guess Imus is at it again. Gotta love the guy.Peggy YES!!!! I said the same thing to myself! The disgust was SO OBVIOUS!!! He knows the truth you can just read it all over his face! Peggy I think you have to understand that all major stations (radio and tv) are owned by like 5 or 6 companies (viacom, disney, etc). These companies have stock in pharm companies and sell ads to pharm companies. they are not going to cut their nose to spite their face. they just care about making money- not telling the truth. this all happened because of the deregulation of the airwaves... Guest guest
> Wouldn't it be great if we had a national news station that wanted to > tell the truth, and was not censored. Good point. There are but a handful of corporations that own most media outlets. Independently owned or controlled media is virtually nonexistent. Unpopular views are not welcome on media outlets where substantial income is derived from pharmaceutical related advertising OR where the media outlet itself is owned by a huge corporation that has vested interests (meaning money invested in interests) opposed to the unpopular opinion. Editorial independence is a myth.
