Guest guest
I began having problems staying alert and awake. The doctor ran an Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) test & found my CO2 level was very high......eventhough my oxygen saturation level was good at 93%. That was when they put me on a vent. It was 3 years ago, and I was 47 yrs. old. In May, I'll be 50....still work 40+ hours a week.....and have TONS of energy! Vicki **************Biggest Grammy Award surprises of all time on AOL Music. Guest guest
Indeed. For me, arterial blood gas tests were the only reliable measure. My O2 saturation is always 97-100%. Before I was ventilated, my CO2 was high enough to be toxic but no one knew. I was dull, depressed and exhausted. > > I began having problems staying alert and awake. Guest guest
I felt like I wanted to take a nap frequently. What was your CO2 level on your last ABG test? That is the only TRUE indicator of whether you need ventilation or not. Did they run pre & post test ABGs during your sleep study? Guest guest
Hi Vicky, Can you tell me more about what you mean with problems staying alert and awake? I am not nodding off during the day - thankfully. Just feel tired a lot of the time. Even drowsy sometimes on Friday evenings or something. smiles Taya Re: What were the symptoms that you had before you started using... I began having problems staying alert and awake. Guest guest
I feel tired most of the time. It has been worse for me in the past year. I just figured one would experience more fatigue as they age with SMA?
