Guest guest
Hi, I was reading the archives and noticed some of you have been or are still on Depo-provera. I was wondering how long you were on it before your periods decreased or stopped for good. Also has anyone had any bad experiences with Depo. Thanks, Deena **************Start the year off right. Guest guest
Deena, I tried the depo shot the first time I went on birth control at 22. It did not work for me at all. I basically had spotting almost every day for a year. It also made me feel like crap. Since I had my daughter, I've been on Seasonique and it has worked perfectly. It didn't stop my period but I only have a light one every 4 months. Guest guest
I have never tried the Depo shot, but I thought I'd take this moment to say how happy I am with the Ortho-Tri-Cyclen Lo pill. I have been using it for six months with great success. In the first couple months I had a bit of nausea and acne, but it has gone away. I still have a period, but it is extremely regular and comes at the same time of day with the same number pill in my pack. It is very light and is gone within 2 days. It's so unnoticeable that I don't worry about scheduling extra attendant care for bathroom breaks during my day anymore. The pill has calmed my mood swings tremendously, and I experience NO cramping, spotting, or breast tenderness with my cycle. I like being able to have a period for health and reassurance, and love that it's no longer a hassle or an issue to worry over. <3Kendra > > Hi, > > I was reading the archives and noticed some of you have been or are still on > Depo-provera. Guest guest
Alana, How often do you get a period with the pill you're on now? In a message dated 1/21/2008 5:30:59 P.M. Guest guest
I used to be a pill similar to Seasonique and I was happy with it. I got a period every four months but because of some other health problems, my blood pressure has spiked. Apparently, it's dangerous to be on that kind of pill with high BP so it's either Depo or a pill where I get a period every month (granted, a more regular period than I'm used to without the pill). Guest guest
I have been on Depo for about 10 years now and I love it. It completely stopped my periods and made my life so much better. I am thinking about getting off because I may be planning on having a baby and I am so worried about having a period again.
