Guest guest
I posted this a couple of years ago in answer to a similar question. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,193441,00.html and: From: Francesca Skelton <fskelton@...> Reply- Date: Thu, 23 Jun 2005 11:23:11 -0400 < > Subject: Re: [ ] Cancer Once someone has contracted cancer, the best thing to do is find the top specialists that medical science has to offer and follow orders. There are no proven diet cures for cancer (or else the world would be cancer free). s Hopkins, Mayo Clinic are two top notch examples, but others can be found with a bit of web research. The following suggestions are not cures; but have (according to studies) " prevention " effects : broccoli sprouts, cruciferous vegtables, the combination of broccoli (and probably other cruciferous veggies) eaten together with tomato sauce, minimal animal fat, sufficient vitamin D, cranberries, pomegranates to name a few possible preventatives among the many being studed by researchers. __________________________________ rom: poly2320 <poly2320@...> Reply-< > Date: Sat, 15 Dec 2007 17:58:12 -0000 < > Subject: [ ] looking for suggestions I am a new member to this group and have just begun to practice CR. I have witnessed many improve their own health through CR diet-which is why I have begun this process. However, convincing me is not the problem. I am posting for the first time because I have a friend who was recently diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. Her disease is in its early stages and I believe that diet may be the best option for her. I have seen the medical studies that show even moderate calorie restriction can have a major impact on cancer growth. But she is scared and not sure what to do or what is the best option for treating cancer. Can any of you recommend sources, resources, people, websites, books, etc. for her to consider. I am not asking for medical advice or for anyone to go out a limb. Just suggestions. Thank you! poly
