Atkin's doesn't work for me, but it does for her. She's 65+, done it off and

on for >20 yrs.

If it keeps her weight down 100#, it's hard to argue against it.

She does have HTN controlled with a medication.

We judge dietary stuff based on risk of heart disease and cancer - maybe

that doesn't apply to people who don't get heart disease and cancer, and

become centenarians?

Not enough data for dementia yet.

JW: you are lumping apples and oranges. Since when is the Atkins diet

considered healthy?
