Guest guest
I do acknowledge that you and may be right, I really hope so. However, applying pressure to get at the truth is no vice, treachery may still be in the lurch. I promote Autism Speaks events and announcements in the newsletter to give them the benefit of the doubt. But there is still an epidemic we face, so time's awastin'. And there certainly no productive purpose to launch broadsides of venom in our anger and frustration here. It only splatters a lot of crap on innocent bystanders. Guest guest
Well said, Lenny. We need to keep our eyes on the real prize: the truth of causation and the hope of real cures. Those objectives will be reached because of research. It appears that Autism Speaks will control a lot of research. Right now, we have , who apparently believes " that thimerosal contributed to [her son's] illness, " and that biomedical interventions are the way to go. She is in a position to influence the direction in which Autism Speaks may go. If the price of that influence is that stays low-key for now, we can live with that. We're all a little leery of this organization, and wondering where Autism Speaks stands. I too wish they would not cower from speaking out now. But the fact that initially agreed to appear tells me they may yet be on " our side. " Time will tell, but for now let's give , if not Autism Speaks itself, the benefit of the doubt. > > > > Lenny, > > > > I kind of agree with on this too. > > > -snip- >
