Guest guest
I realize that this is totally OT, but it comes from helping my kids with some of their science projects over the last few years....yes, the prognosis for endangered species ought to be of concern for all of us. The seal hunt in Canada's north will impact upon the polar bears my youngest son came to appreciate when he studied them a few years ago. Aside from the impending seal hunt, there is also the Antarctic melt to worry about. What will happen to those emperor penguins who seem so tied to their breeding grounds? AasaNote: forwarded message attached. Dear Aasa, Thank you for helping save seals by signing the pledge to boycott Canadian seafood. By joining the boycott, you've joined a large international movement urging the Canadian Government to end the brutal hunts and pressuring the fishing industry that profits from it. Here are some more steps you can take to help protect seals. Support the stores and restaurants that have signed the pledge to boycott Canadian seafood, or contact other businesses that are still importing Canadian seafood.
