Guest guest
Hi folks: From Maco's article: " Importantly, the findings suggest that brain neurons may be vital for sensing dietary restriction and signalling peripheral tissues to increase metabolism, thus extending the lifespan of the animal. " Hmmmm. In what way is the brain sensing dietary restriction? We have discussed this before. If the sensation of hunger is a significant factor in communicating this information, then consuming lots of zero- to-very-low caloric content foods, so as not to feel hungry, may defeat the purpose. It may be that we simply have to feel hungry to get the benefit. Possibly. Rodney.
