There are some data on this in PMID: 10656504. On average, the deterioration is not huge, about 20 mg/dl in US units for LDL. But obviously some people will be above, and others below, that average. Lp[a] apparently is substantially elevated on average after menopause. In this study it was up 80%. I am not sure what that means. If anyone out there can tell us, please post about it. Triglycerides improved somewhat in this study. The study did not have a huge number of subjects. And it seems to have compared some women after menopause with others who were pre-menopausal.
