What kind of tube do you use? I'm wondering if you don't have some kind of

sensitivity to the tube you're using and maybe that's why it's staying

irritated.

My daughter, h (12) has had her tube for 5 years and has used a Mic-key low

profile g button for the entire time. Her site healed quickly and although it

occasionally gets irritated, it usually doesn't bother her in the slightest.

When it does get a bit irritated we mix tea tree oil and hot water in a medicine

cup and soak a gauze pad in it. Then we put the wet gauze around the button and

leave it overnight. That usually takes care of the problem right away.

Advice with feeding tubes

I have had a feeding tube for roughly 8 years but it is very, very

sensitive and painful to change. I dread changing it and wait at least

a year. Everyone says I'm crazy and it's only me. Is there anyone who

has had a similar experience and can recommend a better way to change

it? Is there any anesthesia out there to be knocked out? However I

worry about breathing issues. Thanks!
