Guest guest
Diane: There are many distinct antioxidant compounds. It is the catechins in tea that are affected by casein in milk. Fruit contains other types of flavonoid antioxidants, but not significant levels of catechins: http://www.ars.usda.gov/Aboutus/docs.htm?docid=4142 Now, with respect to tea, soy milk seems like a good substitute for milk, because it doesn't contain casein. However, I am not able to find any studies indicating whether soy milk proteins can also block the benefits of catechins. Any leads??
