Guest guest
Oh that's right, -- I do remember now that Danny is on the AA diet. WOW -- Danny is 26 already???? Where has time gone?? You are correct in saying the true AA diet eliminates all meat & dairy. Most type 2 folks following the AA diet do a " modified " AA diet, and include some meat/dairy on a daily basis. The 'stronger' you are, the more complex protein you can tolerate. But there is a threashold for everyone, and it is individualized. For ne, she can tolerate about 15 grams of meat/dairy protein a day. Her favorite food is steak and lobster (Figures -- expensive tastes!) When she goes over that mark, I see an increase in night sweats, and an increase in heart rate and respirations. Other type 2s that we know have a lower threashold. Type 1s can tolerate little to no complex/animal proteins. And you are right on how quickly the body recovers and adapts to the new form of protein. You truly start to feel better within a month, or less. ne's strength improved, and she began to do things that I thought she lost the ability to do. Even her ability to chew foods improved. And aspirations have become almost nonexistent. When your body isn't spending all its energy trying to break down food, it leaves more energy to do other things that maybe you thought you lost the ability to do. So I guess I'd like to say to the folks here that you really have nothing to lose by giving the AA diet a try. And when do you that, limiting the quantity of animal based/complex proteins that you are consuming will really make the difference that much more obvious. Tolerex must be obtained via a physician's script. I suggest giving your doctor a copy of the Dr. article that I posted in the files yesterday. Here is a link to Tolerex<http://www.nestle-nutrition.com/products/Product.aspx?ProductId=bc535404\ -a19e-4c6f-8558-90eaf6a5556f>. It used to be made by Novartis but last year was sold to Nestle. Guest guest
It *should* be, with a drs script. Sometimes a LMN is needed. If you run into that, let me know. I may know someone who has a LMN that worked. The maximum amount of Tolerex consumed in 1 day should never exceed 2 packets.
