I remember it hurting for about 90 seconds during the first time, but it felt good from then on. Pain killers weren't necessary. It was a pleasant experience. To me it wasn't that bad. it hurt the first few time but your body adapts. I don't think it any different for us than anybody else.Sex is a beautiful wonderful thing and you soon forget the pain. I did get a UTI the first two time but that is normal. I wouldn't expect to have a lot of pleasure the first few times but hang in there it is definitely worth it. As far as pain meds. I didn't do anything may be have a glass of wine. We were both virgins though so it wasn't like we had a lot of experience to start with! Once things were fully engaged, so to speak, it was quite enjoyable, not painful. And I got pregnant with my first daughter not long after. Guest guest Posted November 21, 2008 Report Share Posted November 21, 2008 For me it didn't hurt too much (back in the dark ages!), but there was much foreplay for some time before, and a very sweet guy who was gentle and patient. 2 days maybe a little sore, but I get that anyway when I've been abstinent for a while. I am sure that everyone has different experiences though. Just take it gently, and stop if it feels wrong. I second the glass of wine btw UTI's - I got a few, but that was sometimes due to being outside and not able to pee afterwards, sometimes I was just having a bit too much for my body to cope with! I remember my hips being sore eventually but that was pretty normal considering! ;-) I didn¹t have any pain vaginally but I have only been with male-whore types with a lot of experience so maybe that helped!! There¹s really no reason to be afraid of sex, it is fun as long as you have good communication and a caring partner. Like everone else has said, taking your time, being brutaly open with your partner, and getting creative can make a world of difference. I can say that since my hips spread during pregnancy, my hips bother me after while when my husband is on top. It's not bad though and I don't need medication to ease it.
