Guest guest
I have SMA type 2, use a bipap at night and my settings are 19/15 because at lower epaps I aspirate in my sleep. Last night I had trouble sleeping because it felt like my throat was collapsing behind my soft palte causing apnea. I titrate my own pressures slightly to adjust for positional changes, etc. I'm freaking out today because I'm worried about what is causing this. Some nights I sleep great and fell like I can conquer the world; other nights once in a while this happens. I'm so tired but I dread another night like this. My throat muscles have definitely weakened over the years. I know alot of you are going to be angry w/ me when I say this but I one of my biggest fears is having to be trached. Does anybody out there have a high epap setting like me? Can anyone give me some feedback? Thanks Patti www.myspace.com/boopybop
