Guest guest
Hello, I have been using different voice-recognition programs for more than 10 years. Among all of the programs I have used Dragon NaturallySpeaking is far the best voice-recognition software available. It allows me to do almost anything that I need to do on my computer. Talking about people whose speech is not " clear enough " , I have trained such people, and I can say that that's not a very big issue. One can train Dragon NaturallySpeaking to understand what you're saying regardless how you say it. It just takes time and needs patience. If you have any questions about Dragon NaturallySpeaking, you can always e-mail me, and I will help you get started. Aul
Guest guest
the dragon program that works for our kids is the high price one. It is able to pick up soft spoken words and words that are not always clear. I am not sure how pricey it is but I can guarantee it is not the one the school has. ________________________________ From: Suzanne <erinnesmom@...> Sent: Friday, January 20, 2012 2:09 PM Subject: Dragon  Does anyone use Dragon Naturally Speaking with a Mac? My daughter tried the Dragon at school but it had a hard time recognizing her voice b/c she is so soft-spoken. I guess they were trying to build up a word bank (this was using a PC in elementary and middle school) and my daughter grew so frustrated with it that she refused to do any more work with it. She's in HS now and I would like to try again with her at home. Suzanne What's The News On ne & Latte? www.our-sma-angels.com/neRose (ne's website - Check it out!!) Guest guest
Yes, this is what she needs. I have been using Dragon NaturallySpeaking for many years. My voice has never been loud. Nevertheless, I have never had any major problems. If this product doesn't work well enough on your Mac, all I can say is switch to a PC. It would work perfectly. I didn't realize there was a less accurate version -- older, yes. Maybe that was part of our problem too. Thanks. S. Guest guest
Suzanne, That is definitely the problem. The newer the version, the more accurate & sensitive it is. We had Dragon 8 and nothing we ever did worked for him. We have Dragon 10 now with a special headset (not the one it comes with) and it works almost perfectly for Brett. Our school just ordered Dragon 11.5 which I hope will be even better. Ours was only $200 and the one the school just ordered was $200- so the newer versions aren't more expensive. I don't know about Mac though.
