Guest guest
Hi folks: The Linus pauling Institute at Oregon State University does a very good job communicating various aspects of health in its website. The following is, IMO, an absolutely brilliantly written piece for many of us, generally lay persons, about inflammation. It explains the difference between acute (necessary and beneficial) and chronic (harmful) inflammation. CR is well known for dramatically reducing chronic inflammation, as measured by CRP. This article, at least for me, puts this all in a much better perspective. It also lists the foods/behaviours that tend to reduce chronic inflammation and those that increase it. http://lpi.oregonstate.edu/ss07/inflammation.html Perhaps the link should go in the files?
