Guest guest
Dear Everyone, Two weeks ago i went to Royal Melbourne Hospital, to get information about in getting suitable wheelchair for my daughter (7 years old SMA type II). I need some information, anybody can share for me? 1. I have prepared for the fund to buy the wheelchair, but the hospital asked whether i have medicare (to cover costs of doctor assessment and wheelchair), is it possible to register to medicare provider such as hba? but can i used for my daughter if the membership is less than 1 year? 2. I heard that there are long queue to have appointment and meet with the doctor, how long normally the queue? 3. I am thinking about manual wheelchair (no motor in it) which has arm rest, reclining seat, and some equipments that can support my daughter back to make her comfortable. With that kind of features, what is the price for the wheelchair (roughly)? 4. Any wheelchair manufacturer that is suggested as being reliable in providing the wheelchair for SMA? Sorry for long questions. Thank you very much for your help. Best Regards, Jo & Qintha
