Guest guest
Hello everyone, I e-mailed a few weeks ago regarding some throat issues I was experiencing. Thank you for everyone's input. It led me to have a barium swallow. Although the results showed that I don't aspirate while eating, it did show that my Upper Esophageal Sphincter does not fully relax, which is why I have to swallow more than once to fully get stuff down. They mentioned that I could get botox or they could dialate it. Has anyone had any experience with this? Is this SMA related do you think? My neurologist hasn't had much experience with it. Thank you for any insight you may have.
