Advice Needed From SMAers Living in Snowy Regions

Okay, here's the deal: in my entire life (50 yrs), I've never lived where it

snows. I mean in Hawaii and Puerto Rico, where I spent my childhood, we wore

heavy jackets when the temperature dropped below 68 degrees! So, I have no clue

what to get to keep warm while I'm in Santa Fe for Christmas...where it will

probably snow. Here, in San , I can get by wearing a squall jacket from

Lands' End and with a handwarmer taped to my driving hand. But, San

has not seen snow since 1982....we do not know cold here! Any advice would

great! I want to be warm, yet I still need to be able to move my driving thumb.

Thanks!

Vicki

Vicki,

I'm not sure what you mean by handwarmer, but have you tried those heated

hand/feet warmers that hunters use? They are almost like the ones in the

hospital that they shake and squeeze to activate. Wasn't sure if that is what

you

meant. I also had a nurse make me a cape so I didn't have to fuss with a

coat. That along w/a scarf and a fleece blanket when needed is usually warm

enough. Hope this helps.
