Guest guest
I noticed that. I can walk faster than that up to 4.6 for a short time. Higher than that I break into a run. Running at 3 mph is harder than walking at 3 mph. Evidenced by the fact I can't run very far, yet I think I could walk 3 mph on a flat surface with sufficient hydration for 10 hours if I didn't die of boredom. Question is when would I run out of glucose energy. I have walked 3 hours once on a treadmill. For what purpose? Braggin rights? One hour seems to get me maximum benefit in lowering BP, sometimes 1 mile is OK. Regards [ ] Re: 101 year old marathon runner Hi folks: Not to diminish his accomplishment in any way ......... but ten hours for a marathon might better be described as " 101 Year Old Marathon " . Nonetheless, good for him. Getting to 100 is great. Getting there healthy enough to stand up is wonderful. Being able to walk 26 miles in one stretch as well is magnificent. My objective for my 100th birthday is to play a round of golf without a cart, carrying a few favorite clubs (2-iron, 5-iron, 8-iron and putter, in a very light bag). That is only three to four miles. I probably will not make it, one way or another. But, at two-thirds of the way there, sfsg ; ^ ))) Rodney.
