Hi Nick,

 

It's great to hear that you are finally getting the personal care and hours that

you need and so deserve, but is truly ridiculous that you had to move so far

distance-wise to make it happen. Being from and living most of my life in the

Midwest, I am curious to hear how you are doing in the cold and with all the

snow. Do you endure the outdoors at all? Is it a shell shock to you? Please,

fill us in...

Welcome to the reasons I left Alabama in August and moved to New

York.... My mom could no longer do the care and the state will never

cover the gaps.

I only hope the new president will do something serious about long-term

care. The Southern states provide little to no supports for people with

disabilities.
